Uma Homeo Clinic

Doctor's Corner

Dr. Ravindra Nath Tagore: It is not merely a collection of few medicines but a new Science with a rational philosphy as its base. Swami Vivekananda: An allopath comes and treats cholera patients and gives them his medicines. The Homeopath comes and gives his medicines and cures perhaps more than the allopath does because the Homoeopath does not disturb the patients but allows the nature to deal with them.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad: I believe Homoeopathy as a system of cure has great scope in a poor country like India and deserves encouragement.

Dr. S. Radha Krishnan: Homeopathy did not merely seek to cure a disease but treated a disease as a sign of disorder of the whole human organism.   Shri K. R. Naraynan: Homoeopathic treatment is my first choice not only for me but also for my family. Homoeopathy should be developed as full-fledged alternative system of medicine.

Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel: Homoeopathy is supposed to work miracles.

Shri Jaiprakash Narayan: Homoeopathy, unaided by the State, has wonderful progress to its credit. Its cheapness, its simplicity is remarkable. The cures it has affected are no less remarkable. I have no doubt; therefore, that it deserves state patronage as any other system of medicine.

Shri C. C. Biswas: If there is a scientific system of medicine, in vogue today, it is Homoeopathy; other systems are more or less empirical, but not so Homoeopathy, which has a scientific basis of its own. That, in fact, was the great contribution of Hahnemann to medical science.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Walia: Homoeopathy offers the optimal mix of simplicity, economy, effectiveness of treatment and cultural acceptability amongst the diverse population of a large developing country like India.

Mahatma Gandhi: Homeopathy cures a greater percentage of cases than any other method of treatment. Homeopathy is the latest and refined method of treating patients economically and non-violently.

Testimonials

“My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. And my second pregnancy made me sceptical. At the back of my mind was the constant fear of what if it happens again. The loss of my first child came as a blow. I became miserable. I didn't want anything to happen to the other one. So, I sought Dr Uma's expertise. She was consantly in touch with me.... also available whether on phone or via the internet to guide me through my pregnancy. The homoeopathy medicines helped me in my first semester. Even more, she was more than a doctor to me. Apart from medical advice, she would give me moral support whenever I would feel low or have fears. She would always give me strength.

Today I have a healthy 3-year-old daughter....... and all thanks to Dr Uma that I was able to get over the critical phase during my pregnancy. As a first time mother..... I would always call her up if I found my daughter was down with fever or stomach problems.

Interestingly, Dr Uma and I have never met each other till date. It was on the mention of a common friend that we came in touch with each other. But whenever I need any help or advice she never hesitates to put forward her helping hand."

The doc with a magic touch

For a week, I was in excruciating pain in the lower abdomen. I would roll all over the bed. I would fall flat on the floor of the house and then coil and recoil as my wife will watch helplessly. At the middle of the night, my lonely wife will venture out to call for help, for someone to drive me to the nearest hospital. She will then wait at the waiting hall, pacing up and down restlessly, as the doctors would inject a pain-killer to relive me from the pangs.

After much examination, the doctors finally ruled the culprit has to be a 5mm stone which is stuck on a bent in the urinary tract. The first urologist I went to ruled in two minutes that I have to be operated. "Don't worry, it's non-invasive and you can go home the same day. I hope you have a health insurance," the doctor said. In the next two minutes he had already booked a slot at the operation theatre even before I could say 'yes'.

I came home wondering how come even after so much of progress in medical technologies, there is no alternative solution. Was this doctor suggesting me to go for the operation because he would probably make more money out of it!

Dr Uma has always come as a godsend to me. When my wife was having a problem, there she is. My little daughter is not in her usual self, Dr Uma woul diagnose it five minutes after asking 20 odd questions about her behaviour that you had never noticed. Over the years, this doctor has become more of a friend to me than a physician as such. The best thing about her is that she would make it so easy to share everything with her and will always have a remedy. And her solution always worked for me.

Dr Uma was bang on time here! I was sitting on the balcony of my third floor house watching a snail of after-office traffic on the road in front of me. On the back of my mind, I was not still convinced I need an operation to get rid of a molecular stone, which
didn't even come to notice in the first two ultrasounds. But at the same time, I need to get relief from the occasional pain. It's draining me. I won't risk going anywhere, won't even go to the market next door; what if the pain recurs!

Even before I could narrate the entire story to her, Dr Uma asked just one question; how big is the stone? And even before I could say helplessly, "I don't want the operation doc, please help me!" she had the help in hand. "Nothing doing. You are not going for the operation. Give me six weeks, you won't even get to see a sand of the stone," she said. I wasn't really convinced. But I thought it's worth a try, rather than going for an operation, which might lead to god knows what.

I took the first dose of the medicines Dr Uma prescribed within the next one hour. The pain never came after that. I kept taking the medicine for four weeks, as prescribed, never bothering to check if the stone had disappeared. After the relief from the pain, I was quite convince the medicine worked. Dr Uma kept insisting on a ultrasound to check if the stone has got dissolved or not. I kept delaying. One fine day, she actually warned me to go and do the check or she will stop talking to me.

I had to oblige her. And loo and behold! the stone was nowhere to be seen. When I came out of the clinic, I was as excited as I would be to hold a newborn in my arms. "Hey doc, it's gone, it's gone. The doc didn't believe there was a 5 mm stone stuck in that L-bend. I am so happy. I am coming tomorrow to meet you. Give me your address...." I went on and on.I have still not seen her. There is something or the other that has come in between this long-pending meeting. Sometime later, when my daughter came, I delcared her the god-mother to my little one. She is not really a doc... she is a magic hand... that touched you even from a distance... without any spiritual power. It's the way she tries to understand your pain and the way she attends to you even from a distance... that works wonderfully... Personally, I owe this doc so much in life...

I came to know about Dr. Uma from my sister and even though I have never visited her clinic personally, I can vouch for her ability to help a patient get back on track just by listening to the patient's problem over the phone and prescribing the right medicines. I can recollect numerous instances when I have myself been unwell or when my mother had some health problem. Just a chat or a telecon with Dr. Uma would be enough!!!!! Dr. Uma would simply ask a few basic questions and, based on the answers given to her, she would immediately tell me which medicine to take, and for how many days, and how many times each day. She has spent a lot of efforts in setting up a clinic and in reaching out to her patients through her website and I am sure that her hard work and helpful nature will reap her rich rewards. I would definitely recommend her name to any patient since she is one of the best doctors I have come across. I wish her all the very best in her field.
